Zane W. Schaefer

          Zane W. Schaefer, age 60 of Wolf Lake, died Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born November 1, 1962 in Columbia, MO, the eldest son of Moose and Lynette Mae (Beauchamp) Schaefer.

          Zane is loved by his two daughters, Alexis (Logan) of Wolf Lake and Samantha (Andrew) of Carbondale; Paw to his heathens, Camden, Cash, Harlow, Posie, Avery and Reed; mother, Lynette Daugherty of Lake Charles, LA; father, Moose Schaefer of Wolf Lake; siblings, Janice (Mark) Peters of Lake Charles, LA, Andy (Karrie) Schaefer of Cobden, Nick (Jerri) Schaefer of Anna, Christy Schaefer of Cobden and Mike (Rocklynn) Schaefer of Dongola; several nieces and nephews; best friends, Mitchell and Amy McLane and their children, Drew and Koby; other relatives and many friends.

          Zane adored his children and grandchildren. He always attended their events at school and any activities they had, he was there. He enjoyed watching Hallmark movies and going out to eat. Zane worked for McLane Farms for many years until his retirement.

            Memorial visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Kenneth Verble officiating at the close of service. LuvU xoxox
