William "Bill" M. Toler

     William “Bill” Toler, age 81 of Anna, died Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Southeast Health in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born January 28, 1942, the son of Oley Mae and Opal Pearline (Hileman) Toler. He married Janice June Rutherford on September 25, 1971 in Royalton. She preceded him in death on April 6, 2021.

     Bill is survived by his sons, Ronald (Janet) Gooden and Randy (Lori) Gooden; six grandchildren, Kenneth Gooden, Robert (Aimee) Gooden, Dustin (Samantha) Gooden, Matt Gooden, Morgan (Ross) Dailey, and Alyssa (Hunter) Patzelt-Hicks; three great-grandchildren, Rhea and Addison Gooden, and Beckham Daily; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice June Toler; and sister, Wanda Lee Toler.

     Bill retired from Ensign Bickford after working thirty years in maintenance. He loved to tinker and work on his inventions. In his earlier years he was a member of several bands, The Spring Pond Band, The Union and Country Swang playing bass and vocals. He enjoyed fishing and most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

     Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Billy Carter officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may visit after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
