Ruth Anne (Ryan) Kirby

    Ruth Anne Kirby, age 84 of Dongola, died Monday, October 16, 2023 at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. She was born on April 27, 1939 in Salem, the daughter of Patrick and Thelma (Garrison) Ryan. She married Ralph “Pat” Kirby. He preceded her in death on December 12, 2015.

   Ruth is survived by her children, Lenny Beszczynski, Rowdy Yates, Penny Stamps, Anne Atchison, Joe Gray and Jeff Gray; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Helen Phillips, Dora Collins and Randy Palmer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Patricia Williams and Betty Toler.

    Ruth enjoyed sewing and her pets. While living in Florida, she was a very active member of the American Legion.

   The family of Ruth Anne Kirby will host a private celebration of her life. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
