Ralph Edwin Livesay

Ralph Edwin Livesay “Creek Bottom”, age 88, of Anna, died on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was born June 14, 1934 in Wolf Lake the son of John and Helen (Hale) Livesay. He married the love of his life Barbara Bevil on January 14, 1956. This year they celebrated their 67th Anniversary. She preceded him in death on February 2, 2023.

          Edwin was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. In his younger days he loved going pheasant hunting with his buddies. He was an original member of the Wolf Lake hunting club. He and Barbara owned and operated Livesay TV for over 30 years. He was a devoted dad and grandpa.

          Edwin is survived by two daughters, Pam Rosenthal of Wolf Lake and Sondra (Karry) Pender of Jonesboro; son, David (Mindy) Livesay of Wolf Lake; six grandchildren, Jodi (Scott) Treece, Tim Rosenthal, Justin (Lindsey) Pender, Chris (Vanessa) Pender, Andrew (Jessie) Livesay and Abbey Livesay; nine great grandchildren, Austin (Maggie) Treece, Kayla (Michael) Calhoun, Braeden (Carlie Clausen) Treece, Ava Rosenthal, Shelby Pender, Cole Pender, Jaydra Pender, Rhiannon and Lane Livesay; five great-great grandchildren Waylon and Wrenley Treece, Braxten, Landreigh Calhoun and Kaisen Calhoun, due in the summer; brothers, Harold Livesay of Jonesboro and Keith (Jean) Livesay of Carterville; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death his wife, Barbara Livesay; his parents, brother Loyce Livesay and sister Wilma Stroehlein.

          Funeral services for Edwin “Creek Bottom” Livesay will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.  Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday, April 8, 2023.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wolf Lake Park. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
