Peggy Ann (Murphy) Johnson

    Peggy Ann Johnson, age 89 of Anna, passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at Union County Hospital in Anna. She was born on September 25, 1933 in Vienna, the daughter of Raymond and Nellie (Cates) Murphy. She married Harry Johnson on September 2, 1952. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2018.

    Peggy is survived by her daughters, Denise (Larry) Willis of Buncombe and Kelly (Gene) Murphy of Cape Girardeau, MO; her grandchildren, Heather Wright (Todd Brown), Kyle Willis (Sarah Merz) and Jared Johnson; great-granddaughter, Aleshia Wright; nephew, Mick (Mary Jo) Demming and a niece, Sharon Kay Mosko. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Juanita Demming.

    Peggy loved shopping and traveling. She loved and enjoyed her family and her friends at the Voyage.

    A memorial visitation for Peggy Johnson will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
