Lola J. (Otten) Edmonds, 94, of Anna, Illinois; died peacefully Sunday, February 26, 2023, at The Villages of St. Peters in St. Charles County, Missouri. She was born on January 19, 1929 in Randolph County, Illinois; the daughter of Henry and Louise (Huch) Otten. She married Earl Edmonds on October 8, 1947; he preceded her in death in 2014. They were married 67 years and lived in Anna, Illinois most of their married life.
Lola is survived by her son, Dennis (Charla) Edmonds of Lake St. Louis, Missouri; granddaughter Laura (Shaun) Cox of Cottleville, Missouri; grandson David Edmonds of Manchester, Missouri; and great-grandchildren Jade Edmonds of Myakka City, Florida; Annabelle and Benjamin Cox of Cottleville, Missouri; sister-in-law Betty Otten; nieces and nephews, Paulette (Ron) Schneider; Alan (Sheila) Otten; Kathy (Jim) Livesay; Tim Smerz; Terri Bauer; Marcia Abel; Mike (Tina) Otten; Terri (Craig) Partridge; Mark (Janice) Eddleman and Dana (Jama) Eddleman; and other relatives and many close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and five siblings: Paul (Jenny) Otten; Helen Kreutz; Amos Otten; Silas (Evelyn) Otten; and Janet (Leroy) Eddleman.
Lola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her passions included a love for gardening and painting. She was a long-time member of the Anna-Jonesboro Garden Club; winning numerous awards for her garden. She was also an accomplished painter whose exceptional oil paintings are still displayed in the homes of family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Anna Heights Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 2 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. until the service at Noon on Thursday, March 2, at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
