James William "Jim" Dirden

     James “Jim” William Dirden, age 74 of Dongola, died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Marion Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was born December 15, 1948 in Anna, the son of Otis and Marjorie (Camden) Dirden.

     Jim is survived by his niece, Carla (Mike) Cremeens of Anna; nephew, Eddie (Mary) Mixen of Florence AZ; great nieces and nephews; best friend, Wendy Chauvin of Dongola and her family; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lydia Joan Mixen and Cynthia Dirden; and one brother, Steven Dirden.

     Jim honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1968-1969.

     Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Bill Littrell officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Funeral Honor Team of Marion. Family and friends may visit after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
