Mrs. Irma Jean (Myers) Frick, age 94 of Jonesboro, died on July 27, 2023 at Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. She was born on March 3, 1929 in Alto Pass, the daughter of Clifford and Lucille (Hamilton) Myers. She married Kenneth W. Frick on January 19, 1947 in Osceola, Arkansas. Kenneth, preceded her in death on November 10, 2013.
Irma is survived by her children, Linda Parks of Jonesboro, Karen (Larry) Martin of Evansville, Indiana, Rebecca (Bruce) Trammel of Anna, Kenneth, Jr. (Nicolle) Frick of Santa Rosa, Florida, and Kim (Dan) Brames of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Maria (Jamie) Bridgeman, John Parks, Becky (Allen) Plott, Mike Martin, Michelle (Greg) Willis, Adam (Katie) Trammel, Michael (Cassie) Trammel, Alexandra (Cody) Ozborn, Aidan Frick, Andersyn Frick, Megan (Tanner) DeVries, Annie (Alec) Timmerberg; 21 great-grandchildren, with 4 great-grandchildren on the way, Baby Ozborn, Rich twins, and Baby DeVries; 2 sisters, Betty Cacioppo of Chicago, Shirley (Bruce) Osladil of Ottawa, KS; 2 brothers, James “Sonny” Myers of Phoenix, AZ and Tom (Jane) Myers of Dongola; many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Frick; parents; step-mothers, Iva Myers and Mary Myers; a sister, Freda Paddock; brother, Francis “Butch” Myers; sister-in-law, Jackie Myers, and a son-in-law, David Parks.
Irma was a member of Harvest Church of Southern Illinois. She loved her Lord and Savior, and she dedicated her life to serving her church family, enjoying many years of teaching Sunday school classes. She and her husband, Kenneth, owned and operated K and I Sporting Goods, which served the community in Jonesboro for 20 years. Irma and Ken were avid Cardinal fans. Irma was also an accomplished seamstress who made quilts for all her children and grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be missed.
Funeral services for Mrs. Irma Jean Frick will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 4, 2023 with Tony Foeller officiating at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor Tony Foeller officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may visit after 6:00 p.m. and until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 3, at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions are preferred to the library fund at the Anna First Baptist Church or the Harvest Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
