Cleta Mae (Sims) Poole

Cleta Mae Poole, age 100 of Dongola, died Sunday, June 26, 2022 at her home. She was born January 25, 1922 in Elco the daughter of John and Lucy (Brimm) Sims. She married the love of her life Eanis Poole. He preceded her in death.  

        Cleta loved spending her time quilting and tending to and growing her flowers.

        She is survived by her children; Joan Boling of Duquoin , Fred (Carol) Poole of Anna, Bobby Poole of Elco, Brenda Berry of Anna, Jeannie Huffhine of Elco, Janice Burchyett of Anna, Billy (Brenda) Poole of Mill Creek, and Jackie (Chuck) Mitroka of Royalton; 33 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren; 92 great great grandchildren and 3 more on the way; sister, Erma Shelton. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eanis Poole; children, Dennis Poole, Effie Lang, Bonnie Land, Eanis Poole Jr. and Michael Poole; 6 grandchildren; son in laws and daughter in laws, Charlie Boling, Terry Huffhine, John Berry, Clarence Lang, Carl Land and Peggy Poole; 8 brothers and one sister.

        Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Paul Mayberry officiating. Interment will immediately follow at St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
