Charlene D. (Dover) Pitts

    Charlene D. Pitts, age 78 of Anna, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at Integrity Healthcare of Marion. She was born on July 12, 1945 in Anna, the daughter of Charles A. and Pearl Amanda (Adams) Dover. She married Richard Pitts on April 4, 1964. He preceded her in death on December 9, 2017.

    Charlene is survived by her children, Denise (John) Garner of Anna and Shane (Angie) Pitts of Beason; five grandchildren, Ashley Polk, Chelsea Pitts, Ryan Pitts, Chase Garner (Lacey) and Tristan Garner; two great-grandchildren, Kaycee and Barrett; three sisters, Betty Taylor, Linda Keller and Janet Carter; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Shirley Lindsey.

    Charlene was an immaculate housekeeper. She meticulously maintained her home and yard, always raking the leaves and grass after Denise mowed. She was a loving mother that took great care of her family.

    Funeral services for Charlene Pitts will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 16, 2023 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Doug Bridgeman officiating. Interment will follow in Casper Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Casper Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
