Bobbie D. (Foster) Glasco

     Bobbie D. Glasco, age 95 of Cobden, died Friday, November 11, 2022 at The Voyage in Marion. She was born October 5, 1927 in Carbondale, the daughter of Clifford D. and Verla R. (Addison) Foster. She married Troy E. Glasco on June 10, 1945 in Carbondale. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2017.

     Bobbie is survived by her son, Larry (Judy) Glasco of Metropolis; daughters, Gloria Williams of Cobden, Marilyn (Mike) Ferguson of Robinson; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister-in-law, Stella Glasco of Cobden; one niece; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Troy Glasco; one grandson; two sisters, Cora Elizabeth Foster, and Wilma Jeanette Coleman; two sons in law; and two nephews.

     Bobbie was a faithful member of the United Missionary Baptist Church for many years. She retired from Southern Illinois University where she worked as an Executive Secretary in various departments. Bobbie enjoyed attending church, reading her bible and painting.

     Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the United Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Dickerson and Pastor David Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the United Missionary Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the United Missionary Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
