Billie L. Rhodes

    Billie L. Rhodes, age 91 of Jackson, Missouri, formerly of Alto Pass, died Monday, August 28, 2023 in Jackson. He was born on October 15, 1931 in Anna, the son of Albert and Lula (Foster) Rhodes. He married Connie Lucille Gibson on January 3, 1951 in Jonesboro. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2011.

    Billie is survived by his sons, Stanley (Barbara) Rhodes of Herrin and Everett (Sarah) Rhodes of Jackson, Missouri; his grandchildren, Christina (Frank) Price, Shannon (Melissa) Rhodes, Kyle and Levi Rhodes; great-grandchildren, Timothy (Alisha) Price and Dakota Price; great great-granddaughter, Scarlet Elara Price; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Lucille Rhodes; his parents; grandson, Shane Rhodes; siblings, Loren Rhodes, Mae Turner, Helen King, Clarence Rhodes, Mildred Parker, Margaret Rhodes and Carl Rhodes.

    Billie was a devout Christian and member of the Refuge Worship Center in Ware. He retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections. He enjoyed camping and playing guitar. He loved gospel and bluegrass music.

    Funeral services for Billie L. Rhodes will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Alto Pass with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 2, 2023 at the funeral home.
