Mr. Arthur E. Tingstrom, age 101, of Anna, formerly of Wisconsin, died peacefully in his sleep September 12, 2011 at the home he has shared with his daughter for the last eight years. He was born November 2, 1909 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Arthur and Minnie C. Bruewer Tingstrom. He married Judith J. Iverson on August 19, 1934 on her family farm in Stoughton, WI. They enjoyed forty four years of marriage before preceding him in death on January 29, 1979. At the age of 75, he married Viola Denowski on December 1, 1982 in Edgerton, WI. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2007 after 24 years of marriage. Arthur is survived by his daughter, Connie Ray of Anna; two granddaughters, Chery (Mark) Strahm of St. Louis, MO, Judi Ray of Anna; four great grandchildren, Mary E. Strahm of St. Louis, MO, Jack Guggisberg of Anna, Jeffrey and James Strahm of St. Louis, MO; one step great grandchild, Brian Strahm of St. Louis, MO; seven step children, Marcella (Earl) Vaughn, Elisabeth (Ken) Kocken, Irene (Chris) Langham, Randy (Colleen) Denowski, Helen (Lennie) Bajoreck, Jim (LouAnn) Denowski, Teresa (Mark) Wisniewski; nineteen, step grandchildren; twenty five step great grandchildren; one step great great grandchild other relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his wives, Judy and Vi; one son in law, James Ray; two step daughters, Kathy Kipness and Janice Martin; one step son, Irving Denowski.Art retired from AT & T, or Ma Bell as he affectionately called it-in 1974. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna where enjoyed attending services until his recent illness. The family would like to thank Dr. Brian Reach, Dr. Pamela Hunter-Reach and TIP Hospice for their support in helping us to keep him home during these final days. A special thank you goes out to all our friends and family who have kept us in their thoughts and prayers and welcomed Grandpa into their hearts, church and community.A memorial service for Mr. Arthur E. Tingstrom will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 18, 2011 at the Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church in Anna with Pastor Kathy Montira officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Stoughton, WI at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Moriah Lutheran Church. Envelopes will be available at the church and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
