Zella Flossie Roberts

Mrs. Zella Flossie Roberts, age 96 of Springfield, formerly of Lick Creek, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Alburn Nursing and Rehab in Springfield. She was born February 24, 1916 in Lick Creek, the daughter of James Edward and Hattie Emery Wiggs. She married Leroy E. Roberts on May 20, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1992.Zella is survived by one son, Marvin (Marylan) Roberts of Springfield, Illinois; three grandchildren, Dwight, Dale, and Denise Roberts; six great grandchildren, Amanda Roberts, Matthew Roberts, Heather McDaniel, Sarah Roberts, Jessica Roberts, Eric McDaniel; one sister, Viola Barker of Texas; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy; three sisters and five brothers. Zella was a member of the Ebenezer Hall Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lick Creek for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Zella Flossie Roberts will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery near Lick Creek. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
