Wilma Jane Sweitzer

Wilma Jane Sweitzer, age 77 of Jonesboro, died at 10:04 am, Friday, September 30, 2011 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born on March 27, 1934 in Delta, Missouri, the daughter of Lesley Manuel and Flora Ann (Jones) Chapman. She married Fred Sweitzer on July 3, 1963 in Maryville, IN and he preceded her in death. Wilma is survived by one daughter, Michele (Alain) Zarinelli of Mondamin, Iowa; two grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Bernita Cherry of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Edward (Marie) Chapman of Drakesboro, KY, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Sweitzer; a daughter, Donna Jean Morris and one sister, Dorothy Ellen Gibson. Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Mark Goins officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 5 from 9:00 am until the funeral hour at 11:00 am. Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery south of Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
