William "Joe" Joseph Sullivan

William Joseph "Joe" Sullivan, age 83 of Anna died Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at his home. He was born September 6, 1938 the son of William Russell and Maude Louise (Ellis) Sullivan. He married Joyce Bryan on July 12, 1958 in Jonesboro. Joe spent many years as an over the road truck driver for Kenny Corzine. He also drove a bus and performed custodial duties for the Jonesboro School as well as working in farm services for over 40 years. He also helped many children for many years cross the road as a crossing guard in Anna. He was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church. He liked working with, raising and riding horses. He absolutely loved his family and spending time in the garden. Joe is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Sullivan; children, Billie (Terry) Henderson of Cobden, Linda Cain of Jonesboro, John (Cathy) Sullivan of Anna, Russell "Gene" (Lisa) Sullivan of Jonesboro; grandchildren, T.J. (Tanette) Henderson, Amy (Jason) Penrod of Anna, William (Cheyna) Sullivan of Midland, TX, Ashley Sullivan Bell of Anna, Derrek (Charley) Kerley of Anna, Lauren (Codie) Greer of Boaz, Ian, Easton, Arianna, and Emelia Sullivan of Anna, Rusty (Rachel) Sullivan, and Jake (Kati) Sullivan; great grandchildren, Rage and Titan Henderson, Hannah (Jordan Dillow) Hileman, Mayci (Levi Moutria) Penrod, Ellie Penrod, Andrew Penrod, Madison Penrod, Hunter, John, Alex, Mia, Joey, Noah, Bryce, and Trystan Sullivan, Daxtyn Kerley, Daisy, Wyatt, Hallie and Reed Sullivan; sisters, Helen (Dennis) Williams of Aurburndale, FL and Nancy (Larry) Hileman of Anna; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant sisters, Nona Kay and Betty Sue Sullivan. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Jack Richardson and Rev. Lacy Betts officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lockard Chapel Church.
