William Douglas "Doug" Stoner

William Douglas "Doug" Stoner, age 59 of Buncombe, died Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home. He was born on August 23, 1964 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Bobby Dean and Ora Josephine "Jody" (Neal) Stoner.

Doug is survived by two sons, Josh (Randi) and Nathan Stoner; three grandchildren, Zakary Smith, Lydia and Sylvia Stoner; a brother, Tom Stoner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Sheri Page and a brother, Terry Gifford.

Doug followed in his father's footsteps, becoming a journeyman painter. Those footsteps are now followed by Doug's sons, Josh and Nathan. When work was over, Doug loved to tinker, working on many projects around his home. He enjoyed woodworking, loud music and riding side-by-sides with his family and friends.

Funeral services for Doug Stoner will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2024 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
