William L. "Bill" Musgrave, age 72 of Cobden, died Sunday, November 22, 2020 in the Marion V.A. Medical Center. He was born March 16, 1948 in Gary, Indiana, the son of Richard and Helen (Suryer) Musgrave. Bill is survived by his children, Randy Musgrave (Judy Ray) of Anna, Bill Jr. (April) Musgrave of Anna, Christina (Brad) Walling of Jonesboro, AR, Josh (Tobie) Clark of Indianapolis, IN, and Lisa Clark of St. Louis, MO; nine grandchildren, Anthony Musgrave, Heather (Scott) Carter, Katlyn Turner (Andrew Yeakey), Logan Turner, Lainey Walling, Mason Musgrave, Megan (Freddy) Morse, Marilyn Musgrave and Hannah Trexler; great-grandchildren, Gage Musgrave, Meredith, Camden, Hayden and Makenzie Carter; siblings, Richard (Brenda) Musgrave of Marion, Sue (Terry) Johnson of St. Louis, MO, Robert (Diana) Musgrave of Johnston City, Theresa Major of Texas; many other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Alice Musgrave; great-grandson, Clinton Musgrave; twin sister, Mary Fox; niece, Kathryn Fox; nephew, Daniel Fox. Bill retired from the Marion Federal Prison after working twenty two years as a correctional officer. He honorably served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was the retired DAV Commander for the State of Illinois and the past post commander for the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna. Graveside funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, on Friday, November 27, 2020 at the Alto Pass Cemetery with Chaplin Richard Bittle officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Graveside visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour at 12 noon. Military rites will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois Army National Guard Funeral Honor Team. Everyone attending will be required to wear face coverings and observe social distance guidelines. Memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Veteran's Home Activity Fund. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
