William R. "Bill" Farris

Mr. William R. "Bill" Farris, age 61 of Anna, died at 9:50 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2016 at his home. He was born August 15, 1954 in Anna, the son of Fred Chester and Jeanette (Boshera) Farris. He married Phrae Khotsuwan. Bill is survived by his loving wife, Phrae of Anna; father and mother in law, Boonlian and Srisamai Khotsuwan of Thailand; brothers and sister, Dale (Sharon) Farris of Dongola, Mary (James) Bloodworth of Dongola, Fred (Debi) Farris of Cape Girardeau, and Jerry (April) Farris of Jonesboro; several nieces and nephews; a host of other loved ones and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Samuel Lee Farris. Bill worked for Bunny Bread Bakery in Anna for many years. He graduated from the Culinary Academy in San Francisco, CA. He owned and operated and was Chef of Bistro 51 in Carbondale for many years. He later worked for KBR in Houston, TX, where his work took him to Iraq for several years. Bill touched many lives throughout our community, he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the Anna First Baptist Church with Rev. Cliff Perry and Rev. Les Sinks officiating. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, 2016 in the First Baptist Church in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Bill's wife, Phrae Khotsuwan. Envelopes will be available at the Church and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
