Wayne Franklin Whiteside

    Wayne F. Whiteside, age 87 of Dongola, passed away Monday, June 22, 2026 at his home. He was born on December 19, 1938 in Anna, the son of George and Magdaline (Holshouser) Whiteside. He married Doris Jackson on August 31, 1968. Together they have shared over 57 happy years together.

    Wayne is survived by his wife, Doris Whiteside; son, Chris Whiteside and wife Tina; daughter, Angela Bailey and husband Allen; grandson, Ayden Bailey; granddaughter, Addyson Bailey; other relatives and friends.

    Wayne served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. He loved trucks, especially driving them. He was an over the road truck driver for 56 years.

    Graveside funeral services for Wayne Whiteside will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Big Creek Cemetery with Pastor LaRue Parr officiating. Interment will follow. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery prior to the service time at 2:00 pm. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
