Walter Neal Bledsoe

Mr. Walter Neal Bledsoe, age 71 of Jonesboro, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2013 at his home in Jonesboro. He was born January 7, 1942 in Olive Branch, Illinois, the son of Orville Ray and Ella Robinson Bledsoe. He married Audrey "Kay" McDowell on April 27, 1971 in Cairo, Illinois Neal is survived by his loving wife Kay Bledsoe of Jonesboro; one daughter, Melissa Ann Morrison of Jackson, Mo; two grandsons, Bruel Neal Miller and Brian Austin Johnson of Jonesboro; two sisters, Gladys Wilson of Ullin, Norma (Ray) Dodson of Thebes; one brother, Arthur Eugene Bledsoe of Dickson, Il; several step brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Neal was an avid fisherman and loved to cook and bake for his friends and family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a cook. Neal was retired from the Jonesboro Sawmill where he had worked for over thirty years. Funeral services for Mr. Walter Neal Bledsoe will be at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 30, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. John Cripps officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery in Dongola. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors Team of Marion. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
