Vivian Moss, age 94 of Anna, went home to her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, March 17, 2026 with her family by her side. She was born November 10, 1931 in McClure, the daughter of James Aud and Ola May (Patchett) Rogers. She married Marshall Moss on August 7, 1948. He preceded her in death on August 17, 2008.

Vivian is survived by her daughter, Marsha (Steve) Berg; sons, Jerry (Janet) Moss, Terry (Barbara) Moss; daughter in law, Karen Moss; grandchildren, Jason Smith, Shane (Sheri) Moss, Christen (David) Jackson, Jeremy Moss, Ryan (Kasi) Moss, Philip (Randi) Berg, Teri (Paul) Salwey, Cassidy (Chesley) Moss, Christian Moss, Adrian (Jordan) Moss, Joshua (Jessica) Moss, and Jacob Moss; numerous great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marshall Moss; son, Roger Moss; siblings, Leroy and Lawrence Rogers; Marie Held, Louise Hodge, Wilma Colyer, Annie Blaylock, Leoda Watkins, and Dorris Jobe.

Vivian was a member and attended New Beginnings Community Worship Center in Anna, she was a true testament of a life well lived. We have been so fortunate to call this woman “Mom”, “Grandma” or “Great-grandma”. She shared a rare kind of love with just about anyone lucky enough to cross her path. To know her was to feel completely supported and loved without judgements. No one else we know walked the walk and talked the talk of a faithful servant like she did. She didn’t just speak her faith, she lived it every single day. She showed us what it means to live your life for God. We find comfort in knowing she is now at peace, whole and healthy walking with her maker in Paradise.

We are so deeply grateful and blessed to have known Vivian Moss and to call her Mom and Grandma.

Funeral services will be held privately for the family. Interment will be in McKinney Chapel Cemetery in Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred in her memory to Hospice of Southern Illinois or New Beginnings Community Worship Center. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
