Virginia Marie Scutt

Virginia Marie Scutt, age 83 of Buncombe, died Thursday, February 14, 2019 in the Jonesboro Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. She was born March 24, 1935 in Lansing, Michigan, the daughter of Dewey and Lelah (Hulliberger) Tupper. She married Murlin D. "Dink" Scutt who preceded her in death on February 11, 2018. Virginia is survived by her stepson Terry (Joann) Scutt of Key West, Florida; grandchildren, Jim, Amy, Jerimah, and Jessica Scutt, Teressa Pengress, and Ryan Sims; great grandchildren, Austin and Ryder Scutt, Regan and Riley Kind, and Sally Sims. She was preceded in death by her parents Dewey and Lelah (Hulliberger) Tupper, her husband, Murlin D. "Dink" Scutt, daughter, Jodie File, and her close friend Carolyn Sue Sims. Virginia worked for 25 years at the Florsheim Shoe Factory in Anna until her retirement.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 18, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Mike Miller officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Buncombe. Friends may call after 12:00 noon and until the service hour on Monday, February 18, 2019 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
