Virginia June Machleith

Mrs. Virginia Machleith, age 98 of Ware, died at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in the Union County Nursing Home in Anna. She was born September 30, 1916 in Ware, the daughter of Everett and Grace Ballance Penrod. She married Charles D. Goodman in Union County. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1973. She later married Robert Machleith and precedes her in death. Virginia is survived by her two sisters, Helen Dunagun of Dyer, TN, Patty Hinson of Jonesboro; three brothers, Merl (Dorothy) Penrod of Anna, James (Peggy) Penrod of Troy, Joe (Barbara) Penrod of Anna; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; three sisters, Mildred Shelton, Eula Walker, Opal Sadler; and one brother, Burl H. Penrod. Virginia was a member of the Ware United Methodist Church for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Machleith will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Paul Sadler officiating. Interment will be in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
