Virginia Rose Darnell

Mrs. Virginia Rose Darnell, age 89 of Anna, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born November 3, 1921 in Anna, IL, the daughter of Earl and Pearl Carter Verble. Virginia is survived by her daughter, Toni L. (Donald) Stewart of Anna; one grandchild, Anthony Wade (Staci) McCowen of Carterville, IL; two great-grandchildren, Stephanie Nichole McCowen of Monterey, CA and Shane Michael McCowen of Carterville, IL; cousins; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.Virginia was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Rose Darnell will beat 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2011at the Anna City Cemetery with Rev. CliffordHeil officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to TIP Hospice or P.A.W.S. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
