Virginia Lee Boyd

Virginia Lee Boyd, age 90 of Anna, died Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Union County Hospital. She was born July 18, 1928 in Anna the daughter of Lawrence A. and Mae (Pitts) Boyer. She married Ernest Leon Boyd on October 5, 1945 in Anna. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2014. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Karen Hight and Beverly Boyd both of Anna; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Todd) Hawk, Kenny (Lacey) Hight and Kendra (Rodney) Seip; seven great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Ashton and Jacob Hawk, Kaetlyn and Keira Hight, Dalton and Payton Seip; one sister in law, Joyce Boyer of Cape Girardeau, MO; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest Leon Boyd; son in law, Ken Hight; two brothers, Kenneth Boyer and Lawrence Boyer. Virginia was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Anna for many years. Virginia was an amazing cook and very family oriented, enjoying spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Todd Hawk officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Anna. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
