Virginia Mae Adams

Virginia Mae Adams, age 76 of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born April 15, 1942 in Villa Ridge, the daughter of Lloyd Leonard Sr. and Edna (Landis) Vines She married Basil A. Adams on December 10, 1960 at the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on March 16, 2008. Virginia is survived by her son, Darryl (Devan) Adams of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Derek Jordan Adams, Molly Alise Adams, Gavin Hooks, Bailey Hooks, Zaidey Hooks and Jaicey Hooks; one great grandchild, Paizley Smith; brothers, Donald (Bonnie) Vines of Cobden and Jim (Shirley) Vines of Anna; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Basil A. Adams; daughter, Lisa Adams; brother, Lloyd Vines Jr.; sisters, Linda Hopp, Joyce Barnhart and infant sister, Jean Marie Vines. Virginia was a member of the Lockard Chapel Baptist Church. Virginia dearly loved caring for her family and was loved by everyone. Funeral services for Virginia Adams will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Pastor David Adams & Rev. Jack Richardson officiating. Interment will be in the in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call after 10:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
