Violet Crain

Violet Crain, age 93 of Cape Girardeau, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the home of her son in Chillicothe, MO. She was born on October 14, 1927 in Asherville, MO the daughter of Louie and Gussie (Beights) Hodge. She married Loyd Crain on May 15, 1943 in Puxico, MO. He preceded her in death on November 9, 2000. She is survived by her children, Judy Rhodes of Eagar, AZ; Jim Crain of Cape Girardeau and Steve (Debbie) Crain of Chillicothe, MO; seven grandchildren, Sam Rhodes, Sheryl Aquino, Andra Alexander, Chrissy Wilferth, Meredith Ogburn, Carissa Crain and Erin Crain; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a son-in-law, Larry Rhodes; daughter-in-law, Barbara Crain; three brothers and three sisters. Graveside funeral services for Violet Crain will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 30, 2021 at the Alto Pass Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow. Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
