Victor Lechtenberger Sr.

Victor Lechtenberger, age 73 of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at his home. He was born October 30, 1944 in Clarinda, IA, the son of Merle Victor Sr. and Vesper Zepher (Farrens) Lechtenberger. He married Ethel Mixen on December 2, 1975. Victor is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Lechtenberger of Anna; sons, Lindell (Tracey) Lechtenberger of Anna, Jack (Bev) Richardson of Dongola, Bobby (Melody) Richardson of Anna and Harold Richardson of New Athens; seven grandchildren, Jacob and Samantha Lechtenberger, Justin (Natalie) Richardson, Tonya (Clinton) Marshall, Armanda (Steve) Miller, Jacinta (Matt) Hupe, Josh (Breannen) Richardson; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Lee (Mary) Lechtenberger of IA; sister, Birdie (Larry) Falk of AL; other family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lonnie Lynn Lechtenberger; sister, Cheryl Lynn Sweeny; and daughter in law Rebecca Richardson. Victor worked many years as an over the road truck driver. He was an airplane enthusiast, avid fisherman and enjoyed playing his accordion. He will be dearly missed by all his family. Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Revs. Bobby and Jack Richardson officiating. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
