Vicki Sue (Glasco) Escue

Vicki Sue Escue, age 69 of Makanda, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 at home. She was born May 13, 1955 in Anna, the daughter of Gary and Ginger Sue (Ward) Glasco. She married Ernie Lee Escue on May 6, 1994 in Wolf Lake.

Vicki was a devout Christian. She was a member of Purpose House Church in Herrin. She valued spending time with her friends. Vicki was an animal lover; she homed countless dogs and treated them like family. She loved caring for her houseplants with her green thumb.

Vicki is survived by her father, Gary Glasco of Wolf Lake; husband, Ernie Escue of Makanda; children, Scott (Mickelynn) Escue of Cobden, Jamerson (Fatima) Escue of Conway, SC, Jada Escue and significant other Sam of Makanda, and Stephen (Hang) Escue of Altamonte Springs, FL; grandchildren, Jaylyn Kelley, Ryan Kelley, and Maci Escue; brother, Kerry (Sandy) Glasco of Jonesboro; sisters-in-law, Sharalyn, Kathy, Debbie, and Tina; brother-in-law, Lonnie; beloved pet, Nugget; nieces; nephews; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother; son, David Brandon Carroll; father and mother-in-law, Everett and Barbara Escue; and many of her beloved dogs.

Graveside funeral services for Vicki will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Jonesboro Cemetery in Jonesboro with  Pastor Jason McKinnies officiating.
