Venetta Marie Brys

Mrs. Venetta Marie Brys, age 72 of Anna, died at 8:09 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at her home. She was born April 10, 1942 in Carbondale, the daughter of Roger Lee and Margaret Marie Simmons Atwood. Venetta is survived by her two sons, Jackie Dean (Julianne) Brys of Lake Village, IN, John Roger (Lydia) Brys of Valparaiso, IN; four grandchildren, John Charles Brys, Venetta Ann Brys, Bryan Anthony Brys, Roger Aaron Brys; three great grandchildren, Dominick Ratliff, Mark Brys, Jackson Strain; one sister in law, Emilie Atwood of Anna; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph Lee Brys; two brothers and one sister. Venetta was a member of the Family Worship Center in Johnston City, IL for many years. Funeral services for Mrs. Venetta Marie Brys will be at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Charles Jennings officiating with cremation to follow. Friends may call from 5-7:00 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
