Velda (Sivia) Allen Brown

Velda Sivia Allen Brown left this earth April 28, 2023 at the age of 85. She was born on January 18, 1938, the only child of Troy and Euba (Karraker) Sivia. She worked as the Dongola City Clerk most of her life.

On August 5, 1959 she married Hadley Allen of Perryville, MO. He preceded her in death February 24, 1967 at the young age of 35. On June 25, 1988 she married Everett "Buck" Brown of Jonesboro, IL. He preceded her in death January 23, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dale Allen on December 24, 2020.

Velda is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Gary) Dillow of Lick Creek, IL; a step-son, Wayne Brown of Ivesdale, IL; granddaughter, Rachel Dillow (John Fernandez) of Aurora, IL; grandson, Allen (Morgan) Dillow and two great grandchildren, Ezra and Camilla Dillow all of Carterville, IL.

Memorial services for Velda Brown will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 12:00 noon at the Wetaug Church of Christ with Brent Miller officiating. A meal for all her friends and family members will follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Wetaug Church of Christ or Christian Chapel Cemetery. Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
