Valda Lazelle (Lingle) Snell

Valda Lazelle Snell, age 94 of Grand Rivers, KY, formerly of Anna, died Sunday, April 30, 2023 at Stone Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Paducah, KY. She was born March 27, 1929 in Dongola, the daughter of Paul Alfred and Bertha Novella (Karraker) Lingle.

Valda is survived by her daughters, Wilda Kay Ray of Evansville, IN and Linda Williams of Anna; four grandsons, Shawn (Lisa) Hileman of Grand Rivers, Ky, Kristopher Ray of Chattanooga, TN, Marshall (Julia) Ray of Evansville, IN, and Donnie Hileman of Anna; six great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant grandson, William Carl Hileman; sisters, Kedron Parr and Maureen Claxton.

Valda was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ in Dongola for many years. She loved tending to her flowers, quilting and crocheting. Most of all she enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. La Rue Parr officiating. Interment will be in St. Johns Cemetery west of Dongola. Friends and family may visit after 1:00 p.m. and until the service hour at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Johns Cemetery. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
