Tulley Eugene Robinson Sr., age 75 of Jonesboro, went home to his savior, Jesus Christ, Friday, February 27, 2026 with his family by his side. He was born April 4, 1950 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Alpha Deloris Hammon. Gene married Linda Hubble at Highland Park, in Los Angeles, California in 1968.
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Linda Robinson; two daughters, Gena Lynn Robinson and Johanna Julene Kostal; son, Tulley Eugene Robinson Jr.; nine grandchildren, Jeffery Furlow Jr., Joshua Scott Furlow, Amanda Faith Longmire, Ashney Rena Myers, Kaitlyn Hope Kostal, Justice Seth Kostal (Jillian Vizard), Madilyn Christine Robinson, Baley Nicole Robinson, and Sophia Grace Martin; twenty great-grandchildren and two more on the way; mother-in-law, Juanita Hubble; brother and sister-in-law, Scottie and Regina Hubble; other extended family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alpha Deloris Barron.
Gene was a faithful member of the Refuge Worship Center in Ware for many years. He was retired from the Public Works Department with the City of Cape Girardeau where he worked for twenty-one years. Many of the younger generation will remember Gene from his years of driving the school bus for Jonesboro Grade School and Anna Jonesboro High School. He made many trips with the football team and wrestling team over the years. Gene enjoyed Hot Rods and working on his show truck. He loved his family with his whole heart, cherishing the time he spent with each one of them. Gene loved Jesus and his church, he shared his love through his ministry work in Jackson, MO. In his spare time, he could be found fishing when he was able.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Danny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the Refuge Worship Center. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
