Toni Leigh Stewart

Toni Leigh Stewart, age 72 of Anna, died at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Integrity Healthcare in Anna. She was born August 4, 1948 in Anna, the daughter of Virginia (Verble) Darnell. She married Donald Lee Stewart. Toni is survived by her husband, Donald Stewart of Lumberton, NC; son, Anthony Wade McCowen of Melbourne, FL; grandchildren, Stephanie Brown of Hollister, CA and Shane McCowen of Carterville; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Darnell and grandparents, Earl and Pearl (Carter) Verble. Toni was a retiree of Verizon, formerly GTE. She was a member of the Auxiliary to the VFW in Anna. Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2021 at the Anna Cemetery with Pastor Ivan Ryan officiating. Interment will immediately follow. All those attending will be required to wear a face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. Memorials may be made to PAWS. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
