Tommy D Thompson

Mr. Tommy D. Thompson, age 78 of Cobden, formerly of Owensboro, Kentucky, died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Cobden Rehab and Nursing Center in Cobden, Illinois. He was born March 6, 1934 in Sharpe, Kentucky, the son of Bruce and Gleaner Powell Thompson. He married Shelba Henley on May 24, 1955 in Corinth Mississippi.Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Shelba Thompson of Owensboro, Kentucky; one daughter, Gail (Chip) Gabbert of Springfield, Tennessee; one son, Tim (Renee) Thompson of Lewisport, Kentucky; three grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Thompson, Lala Mae Kaler, and Paulene Hall; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Lexie & Luke Thompson.At his request there will be no visitation or services.
