Theis Emery Larry

Mr. Larry Emery Theis, age 67 of Anna, passed away at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at his home. He was born March 2, 1948 in Union County, the son of William and Molly Angell Theis. Larry is survived by his loving wife of forty-three years, Gayle Marie (Meyer) Theis of Anna; son, Barry (Virginia) Crawford of Orlando, FL.; daughters, Jacqueline (Rick) Burwitz of Swansea, IL, Lea Anna (Steve) Rogers of Anna; granddaughters, Lexa Sharp, Isabel and Sophia Burwitz; brothers, Howard, Raymond and Gilbert Theis; sisters, Emma Richardson and Marie Cupp; special nephew, Ivan Meneese; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alvin, Carl, Ed, Norman, Otto and Charlie Theis; sisters, Elsie Davis, Wilhelmina Meneese, Mary Louise Olson and Lenarosena Theis. Larry was the manager of Midwestern Propane in Anna for twenty-three years. He served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea in the Late 1960's. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, he loved animals and his garden. Many people will have fond memories of spending time on the farm, fishing, hunting, hiking or enjoying a fish fry or barbeque on the farm. Larry also enjoyed working on and restoring cars and playing cards with friends and family. Memorial services for Mr. Larry Emery Theis will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 9, 2015 in the Big Creek Baptist Church in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or Big Creek Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
