Teresa Renae Bauer

Teresa Renae Bauer, age 64 of Anna, went home to her Lord and Savior, Sunday September 6, 2026. Teresa was born October 20, 1961 in Marion, the daughter of Fred E. Jr. and Nell Louise (Ellis) Bauer. She married the love of her life, Steven Ballard on February 4, 2012.

Teresa is survived by her loving husband, Steve Ballard; step-daughter, Ashley (Josh) Trimue; grandchildren, Madison Myers, Natalee Passley, Connor, Carter and Corbin Trimue; great-grandson, Hudson Levi Meeks; sisters in law, Sue Bauer, Sandra (Mike) McKinnon, Cindy (Bruce) Mosby, Beverly (Bob) Warshawsky; nieces, nephews; numerous close friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Louis Wayne Bauer and Steven Ray Bauer; nephew, Russell Wayne Bauer; step-daughter, Renae Myers; and brother-in-law, Greg Ballard.

Teresa was a faithful member of the Jonesboro United Methodist Church. She was the office manager for Dr Hal Pearlman early in her working career and later retired from the State of Illinois Department of Human Services.

The Bible tells us to be encouraging to all people. Teresa did this on a daily basis to her family and friends, and soon to be friends. She was a caregiver; from driving people to doctor’s appointments, delivering meals, placing cemetery flowers and volunteering at her church. She was a Christian, who inspired others to come with her to church, so that they too might know the Lord. There is no doubt that when Teresa entered Heaven she was welcomed with the words “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:21

Graveside funeral services for Teresa Renae Bauer will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 12, 2026 at the Jonesboro Cemetery with Jim Craft officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions are preferred to the Jonesboro United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
