Susie Robinson

Susie Robinson, age 93 of Cobden, died at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in her home. She was born December 18, 1924 in Pomona, the daughter of William Eugene and Lilly Grace (Turner) Stearns. She married Warren R. Robinson in October of 1944 in Jackson County. He preceded her in death on March 30, 1991. Susie is survived by her children, Angie Middleton of Cobden, Howard "Butch" Robinson of Cobden, Herbert Robinson of Cambria, Nona J. Robinson of Anna and Susan J. Allen of Wood River; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Stearns of Marion and Cecil Stearns of Lick Creek; two sisters, Lilly Williams of Makanda and Kay Eskins of Tennessee; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren R. Robinson; siblings, Rosella Morfield, Ted Stearns, John Robert Stearns, Josie Jerdon and Violet Shingleton. Susie was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Cobden. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
