Susie Goins

Susie Goins, age 77 of Jonesboro, died at 11:35 am, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. Susie was born on August 13, 1934 in Anna, the daughter of Oscar "Bosco" and Mae (Absher) Ray. She married Ted Goins, Jr. 59 years ago in Murphysboro. Susie is survived by her husband, Ted Goins, Jr. of Jonesboro; one daughter, Peggy (Bill) Gurley of Jonesboro; three sons, Tim Goins, Jeff Goins, and Kevin (Heather) Goins all of Jonesboro; seven grandchildren, Mike Yana, Rachel Gurley, Keith and Kelsey Goins, Katie and Gene Smith and Madison Goins; three great-grandchildren, Lily, Holly and Allie; one brother, Donald (Shirley) Ray of Anna, other relatives and many loving friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Barbara and Nancy and two brothers, Bobby and Jerry. Susie Retired from the Jonesboro School District as a cook after 14 years of service. She loved spending time with her family and friends Funeral services for Susie Goins will be held at 12:00 pm, Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with the Rev. Robert Goins and Rev. Dewayne McCall officiating. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro on Tuesday, October 18 from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dongola Pentecostal Church. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
