Steven Ray Bauer

Steven Ray Bauer, age 70 of Anna, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023. He was born March 8, 1953 in Anna, the son of Fred E. Jr. and Nell Louise (Ellis) Bauer. He married Sue Ellen Adams on May 5, 1975 in Charleston.

Steven is survived by his loving wife, Sue Bauer; son, Shon (Meagan) Bauer; daughter, Shannon (Scott) Thompson; two grandchildren, Brian and Benjamin Thompson; sister, Teresa Bauer (Steve Ballard) all of Anna; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louis Wayne Bauer, and nephew, Russell Wayne Bauer.

Steven worked thirty-five years as a Boilermaker with Chicago Bridge and Iron. He dearly loved his family and spending time with his grandsons.

Graveside funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at St. Johns Cemetery west of Dongola with Pastor Randy Wright officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Those attending are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home.
