Mr. Stanley Wilson, age 89 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Anna, died at 6:19 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2011 at his home in Cape Girardeau. He was born September 15, 1921 in Woodlawn, Illinois, the son of Charley and Clara Belle Harvey Wilson. He married Shirley M. Miller on October 6, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas.Stanley is survived by his wife, Shirley Wilson of Cape Girardeau; 2 daughters, Vicki (Don) Casper of St. Louis, Missouri and Debby Wilson of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; 5 grandchildren, Mindy (Keith) Huggins, Jeremy (Tricia) Casper, Jenni (Bret) Toth, Beth Duty, and Amy (Michael) Penninger; 4 great-grandchildren, Kamryn Toth, Xander Toth, Brooke Huggins, and Brayden Penninger; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother, Woodrow Wilson; and 2 infant sisters.Stanley was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna and served as an Elder there for a number of years. He was a combat veteran of WWII in the United States Army. Stanley was a civil engineer and worked for the State of Illinois for 37 years.Funeral services for Stanley Wilson will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Dee Armes officiating. Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery with military honors at the graveside by the Illinois National Guard Honor Team of Marion, Illinois. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
