Stanley Michael Pearson Ii

Stanley Michael Pearson II, age 73 of Cobden, died Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his home. He was born October 27, 1948 in Bay City, MI, the son of Dr. Stanley Michael and Thelma Evelyn (Rapps) Pearson. He married Sheron McCoy on December 11, 1970. Stan is survived by his loving wife, Sheron Pearson of Cobden; son, Michael Stanley (Erin Elizabeth) Pearson of Oak Ridge, TN; daughter, Jennifer Lynn (Andrew) Hawkins of Cobden; grandchildren, Brennan Connor Pearson, Elijah Drew Pearson, Mike Hawkins, AJ Hawkins, and Gracie Hawkins; sisters, Patricia Pearson of Bay City, MI, Marcia Baker of Bay City, MI, and Michelle Boyd of Fort Myers, FL; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Julie Taylor. Stan was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden. He loved music and played the organ and piano at the church for many years. He was on the board for the Union County Counseling service for several years. He was a director of the respiratory therapy program at SIU in Carbondale, and for the last two years he worked in the PA program. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 14, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Cobden with Father Uriel Salamanca and Deacon Pat Patterson officiating. Private interment will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners children's Hospital or St. Jude children's Research Hospital.
