Silas Franklin Smith

Silas Franklin Smith, age 62 of Whitewater, MO and formerly of Jackson, MO and Anna, IL, died at 10:53 am Thursday July 19, 2012 at his home in Whitewater, MO. Silas is survived by his wife, Brenda Smith of Whitewater, MO; five children, Janette (James) Hinkebein of Jackson, MO, Deryl Wright of Anna, Valerie (Anthony) Merriweather of Anna, Shara Smith of Anna and Lenny King of Orlando, FL; his mother, Henrietta Meisenheimer of Anna; five grandchildren, Mason Hinkebein, Madison Hinkebein, Amiyah Merriweather, Ethan Wright and Andrew Wright; two brothers, Mike Rainbolt of Ashland, KY and Tommy Smith of Anna; one sister, Karen Dover of New Smyrna Beach, FL, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Smith. Silas worked for many years for the City of Anna in the Maintenance department. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday July 21, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with the Rev. Kevin Mann officiating. Interment will be in the Big Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna on Saturday July 21 after 11:00 am and until the funeral hour at 1:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
