Shirley Mae Wilson

Mrs. Shirley Mae Wilson, age 86 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Anna, died at 9:51 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in The Arbors in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She was born September 21, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis and Myrtle Williams Miller. She married Stanley Wilson on October 6, 1949 in Piggott, Arkansas. He preceded her in death on June 20, 2011. Shirley is survived by her two daughters, Vicki (Don) Casper of O'Fallon, MO., and Debbie Wilson of Jackson, MO.; five grandchildren, Mindy (Keith) Huggins of Cape Girardeau, MO., Jeremy (Tricia) Casper of Pasadena, CA., Jenni (Bret) Toth of O'Fallon, MO., Beth (Tim) Peeler of Jacksonville, FL., Amy (Michael) Penninger of Jonesboro; six great-grandchildren, Kamryn and Xander Toth, Brooke Huggins, Brayden Penninger, Claire Peeler, and Blake Penninger; one sister, Betty Glover of Mt. Vernon; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Stanley Wilson. Shirley was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna for many years. She retired from Anna District 37 after many years of teaching at the Junior High School. She loved traveling with her husband, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren, She and Stanley were wonderful grandparents. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Rev. Steve Shepherd officiating. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Crown Hospice. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
