Shirley Ann Russell White

     Shirley Ann Russell White, 93, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, passed away on July 24, 2026 at her home in Cape Girardeau. Shirley was born May 26, 1933 in Detroit, Michigan, to Franklin Doyal “Doc” and Clara (Shelton) Russell. She married Robert L. White on December 30, 1950 in Piggott, Arkansas, and they were married for 72 years before her husband’s passing in July of 2023.

     Shirley and Bob resided in numerous states across the country during Bob’s employment with Texas Eastern and before finally retiring in Cape Girardeau where she spent most of the remaining years of her life, except for the last few years living in Texas after her husband’s passing to be close to family. Shirley spent the final months of her life back home in Cape Girardeau.

     Shirley is survived by her daughters, Judy White of La Quinta, California, and Sheila Noble of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; son and daughter-in-law, Robert “Bob” and Tina White of Pasadena, Texas; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Chad and Ashley White, of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Conner, Brynley and Tyler White of Houston, Texas.

     Shirley was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” White; daughter, Sonya Faye White; her parents, J.D. “Doc” and Clara Russell and numerous extended family members.

     Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 10:30 a.m., with memorial service to follow at 11:00 at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home, 301 W. Spring St., Anna, Illinois. Shirley’s nephew, Pastor Todd Hawk, will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Anna Cemetery.
