Mrs. Shirley Eastwood, age 76 of Anna, died at 12:10 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at her home. She was born November 25, 1938 in Moorhead Mississippi, the daughter of Andrew Jackson James and Thelma Wynn. She married Odell Eastwood on October 4, 1954 in Jackson Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2004. They were happily married for fifty years. Shirley is survived by her children, Linda (Gary) Rendleman of Anna, Steven (Teresa) Eastwood of Jonesboro, Susan (Stephen) Curtis of Pleasant View, TN, Lesa (Doug) Halterman of Anna; three grandchildren, Lisa and Laura Sheppard, Thomas Halterman; one great grandchild, Cole Halterman; two brothers, Earl (Brenda) James of Kill Devil Hills, N.C., George (Dianne) James of Vicksburg, MS; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Odell Eastwood; one son, James "Jimmy" Eastwood; and one brother, Andrew "AJ" Jackson James Jr. Shirley was a member of the Saratoga Church for many years. She worked for twenty years for Union County Hospital in the Dietary Department, today, people still talk about how they loved her cooking. Shirley eared her GED in 1996, the same year her granddaughters, Lisa and Laura graduated High School. Shirley made the best chicken dumplings, she always made them at the request of her children and family. She loved to read the newspaper, work crossword puzzles, word searches, crocheting and knitting. Shirley's family was very important to her, she loved to laugh and spend time with them. Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Eastwood will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Brother Randy Simmons officiating. Interment will be in the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery or the Saratoga Church. Envelopes will be available in the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
