Shane Michael Coleman

Mr. Shane Michael Coleman, age 19, of Cobden, died at 12:03 a.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011 surrounded by his family. He was born August 17, 1992 in Carbondale, the son of Roger Wayne and Renee Marie DuBois Coleman. Shane is survived by his mother and father, Renee and Wayne Coleman of Cobden; one brother, Matthew Coleman of Cobden; half sister, Chris Coleman of Cowpens, SC; maternal grandmother, Judith DuBois of Cobden; two uncles, Robert DuBois of Saratoga and William DuBois of Bellechasse, LA; one great uncle, Paul "Doc" DuBois; one aunt, Debbie DuBois of Anna; three cousins, Brandon , Travis and Brylee DuBois all of Anna. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lawrence "Spike" DuBois and paternal great grandmother, Emma Coleman. Shane has been a St. Jude Research Hospital patient since 1996. He was a graduate of Cobden High School in 2011 and will be lovingly remembered by his many teachers and friends at the school. Shane's family would like to thank the Cobden and Anna communities for the many benefits and support given over the past years. Funeral mass for Mr. Shane Michael Coleman will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cobden with Father Uriel Salamanca and Deacon Pat Patterson officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Cobden. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at the Cobden High School Gymnasium. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. at the gymnasium,conducted by Deacon Pat Patterson and Josh Franklin. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Hospice of Southern Illinois or the donor's choice. Envelopes will be available at the Cobden High School Gymnasium, the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden and Anna.
