     Sandra Jean Johnson, age 72 of Anna, passed peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2026. She was born November 19, 1953 in Du Quoin, the daughter of Ray and Dollie (Barber) Williamson.

     Sandra is survived by her three daughters, Erin Siebert and husband Michael Grant, Elizabeth Johnson, and Christy Johnson; five grandchildren, Chace (Flicity), Faith (Jack), Sam (Abby), Grace (Draven), and Molly; five great-grandchildren, Tori, Lilith, Ventus, Greyson, and Otis; siblings, Linda Gifford, John Williamson, Laura (Dave) Savage, Tim (Andrea) Williamson, Tom (Salena) Williamson, Paul (Heather) Williamson; sister in law, Ofelia Williamson; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Otis Johnson; father, Ray Williamson; mother, Dollie Cox; and brother, Robert Williamson.

     Her family and her church family at the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass meant the world to Sandra. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her family to gather. Sandra was retired from Choate Mental Health Center where she worked as an RN for over twenty years. She was a passionate nurse to her patients.

     Some of her happiest times were coaching girls Khoury league softball during the summer. She picked up anyone who needed a ride to practice or a game, provided equipment and was a mentor to many of the girls she coached. She was an avid Saluki softball and basketball fan. Sandra volunteered with Hospice and was the recipient of the Butterfly Award; this award is given as a special honor to someone for their commitment to palliative and end of life care and outstanding volunteerism.

     Funeral services for Sandra Johnson will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna with Pastor Carroll Toler officiating. Interment will follow at the Alto Pass Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. and until the service hour at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, the First Baptist Church in Alto Pass, or His Legacy Ministry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
