S. Kathleen Messemore

S. Kathleen Messemore, age 85 of Dongola, died at 1:30 am, Friday, March 16, 2012 at her home. She was born on March 6, 1927 in Dongola, Illinois, the daughter of Cletus and Selma C. Dillow Barnhart. Kathleen married William Henry Messemore on October 5, 1945 in Jonesboro and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2000. Kathleen is survived by five daughters, Kay (Joe) Sichling of Ullin, Louise (Steve) Casper of Perks, Wilma Lea Palmer of Wetaug, Sue (Perry) Wright of Cobden and Agnes (Mike) Herren of Cypress; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Wanda Goodman of Jonesboro; four brothers, Wayne (Louise) Barnhart of Louisville, KY, Doyle (Charlotte) Barnhart of Chester, Wardell Barnhart of Anna and Carroll (Janet) Barnhart of Napels, FL; one sister in law, Shirley Lou Barnhart of Centralia; other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Henry Messemore; a son, William D. "Buddy" Messemore; three brothers and one sister.Kathleen was a member of the Baptist Church of Ullin for many years. She is retired from the Florsheim Shoe Company.Funeral services for Mrs. S. Kathleen Messemore will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Rev. Richard Martin officiating. Interment will be in the St. John's Cemetery near Dongola. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
